Oakdale/Carver Pool and All Night Forever at the Salina Art Center
The Oakdale/Carver Pool was commissioned by the Salina Art Centerfor the 2012 Smoky Hill River Festival. The painting for the Oakdale Pond - once a segregated public swimming pool - is derived from Afro-Caribbean and European sources. This work is visible to satellite engines such as Google Earth, marking a visual history of Salina from an aerial perspective.
The exhibition at the Salina Art Center included research paintings related to the public project.
